Gamma Upsilon Omega welcomes existing members of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated® to reactivate with the sorority. We encourage inactive members to attend chapter events and our monthly chapter meeting.
Transferring Member
Gamma Upsilon Omega(GUO) welcomes all members looking for a new chapter home. If you would like to transfer to GUO from another chapter, or from being a general member, please contact our Membership Chair at for further details.

Visiting Members
Gamma Upsilon Omega Chapter of Hampton, VA meetings are open to initiated members Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® ONLY. Chapter meetings are held at 10:00a.m on the third Saturday of the month (excluding July and August). Traditionally, meetings are held at the Alpha Center, 2205 Andrews Blvd, Hampton, VA. Until further notice, chapter meeting will be held virtually via Zoom.
First time visitors are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early as credentials and proof of membership is required and must be verified prior to entering the meeting.
- You must present photo identification also with (1) of the following :
- Most recent membership card
- Ivy Leaf magazine with name and address label attached
- Certificate of Membership
Business attire is required for all chapter meetings unless otherwise noted.
